Mingze

My name is Mingze Gao. I prefer to be called "Mingze".

I am currently a senior at New York University College of Arts and Sciences studying Digital Art & Design and Economics.

I play video games.

I have white hair.

I read.

I only wear Rick Owens.

I have a New York University logo tattoo on my right arm.

I like white.

I like bread. (just realized that recently)

I used to be the 49th best Pokémon player in the United States.

I love myself, my mom and my girlfriend.

My Story

My passion for the creative field first started with fashion, which made me meet a lot of friends who study fashion design. Under their influence, the seeds of creation took root deep in my heart. In 2020, I took a graphic design class in school and that was my first exposure to design. It was also during that semester that Covid-19 broke out. I was trapped in pandemic and felt that everything in my life was lifeless. Luckily, that design class breathed new life into my pandemic life, and for a long period of time it was the only thing I looked forward. Since then I found my passion in the design world and started to study graphic design orthodoxly in school.
